Philippine tricycles
I’ve been thinking about Philippine tricycles. Not sure why. I’m glad they’re there for one. After all, even if I’m a big fan of walking, the truth is that some distances are really just too far for someone to walk, and yet too short to take a cab for, or maybe there might not even be cabs in the area to hail anyway. Again, I try to walk whenever I can but some situations just aren’t conducive to long walks.
For example, I might be carrying a really heavy bag. Would hate to have to walk with something like that. Or it might be raining really hard, so walking would end up with me arriving at home completely drenched, even if I have an umbrella (the wind’s what does it really). Or it might be really late in the evening, and maybe the area where I might have to pass might not have that many street lights, so without a tricycle, I’d have to walk through a pretty dark neighborhood, at a time of day where walking there isn’t a particularly safe prospect at all.
So tricycles help to make these situations turn out that much better.
